I met this client, the wonderful Doreen Motton at the Girl’s Bite Out event. She loved the designs I cooked up for the event and she was in the market for a new brochure that was in her words “sexy, informative and fresh”.

The Challenge

The challenge was her budget. As a small business owner myself I understand the challenges of a “tight” budget. I took the job on as somewhat of a challenge blending great stock photography and her product shots.


The Process

I really wanted this to be a very clean design which works well for informative pieces. The copy called for the layout to be spread over 8 panels to make a stunning 4 fold horizontal brochure. Adding the sexy image on the cover fold (woman in bed/ image #2) and the face shot spreading over 2 panels in the inside I was able to make the piece informative within the images by placing target based information by way of pointers. This made the brochure not so wordy whereas readers get lost visually, overwhelmed with content and may miss key messages.


Final Product

The client was very pleased with their new ad campaign. The new ads allowed them to showcase their product with a fresher approach that expands their reach to a younger more competitve crowd. You can actually see their old ads in the images above.
